i never liked the way my original cry baby sounded with distortion. it was great for cleans and low gain, but it was extremely scooped and unnatural sounding with high gain(kirk hammet). so i figured it's a very simple circuit to modify and added a Q-pot. it's MUCH more useable now, since i can optimize it for cleans or gainy stuff.
BUT, the useable area of this pot is between 7.5-9. any more in either direction yields unusable sounds or flat-out non-functionality. i simply replaced the 33k resistor with a 100k pot. what else should i have done?
i also plan on adding a mid range pot and a pair of trim pots for gain/volume after i convert it to true bypass.
