Adding an extention speaker cab?

I'm thinking of running an extention speaker cab to the opposite side of the stage (by the other guitarist) to balance the sound and make it easier for him to hear me. Our gig ended up a bit loud (107 db :eek13: ) and I think it's probably because of a loud drummer and the need for both guitarists to hear each other, kept turning up!
I have a Peavy Classic 30, and I want to run a single 12" cab. There's one for sale locally, 60watts 8 ohms. Can this work with my Peavy? Thanks

According to this you can add another 16 ohm speaker load,But not a 8 ohm load. I Imagine it has a 16 ohm speaker in it and the OT is wired with a parallel 8 ohm tap?

i use a Classic 30 as well but when i bought mine used it came with a Matching Peavey Tweed 1x12 sealed back Extention cab.. they made extention cabs for the Classic series amps in the mid 90's and phased them out.. It looks like a mini stack when i have the extra cab and combo on top... The sealed back extention cab adds some bass too which helps...

I sometimes spread the cabs apart and sometimes use a tilt back amp stand for one of the cabs to point it at my head monitor style....

maybe EBAY will have some of these extention cabs?

Kool. There's a few tweed cabs on ebay, but a matching Peavy would be sweet. Wanna sell yours?
