Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

JB_From_Hell

Jomo's Nimions
After dramatically cutting out all the pedals I don't really use, I found two I really need.

1) Budda wah, the old purple and silver one. I heard a guy use one the other night and it's exactly the sound and sweep I want.

2) J Rockett Archer. I've been in the market for a Klone for awhile, and while I haven't tried many, I think I'm going with this one. Same guy that had the Budda had one of these, along with a Strat, a Tube Screamer and an old Super Reverb. Whenever he kicked on the TS and Archer together, I though, "Holy crap, that's it."

What is everybody else after?

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

I’ve never played a Budda wah, but they kind of kicked off the resurgence/boutique wah world that we all benefit from now.

The Archer is a great pedal. They really boost other pedals and amps well. This with your Super and TS (Way Huge Green Rhino?) should be a killer combo!

Good memory!

Believe it or not, I've got it paired with a Danelectro Fab Distortion at the moment. For $9 used, and with the drive backed WAAAAY off, that Fab is a great dirt box. I set both for a SRV-ish tone, then together it kills. Regardless, Eric Jerardi's stuff sounded better :)

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

The Archer Ikon is probably closer to a "klone" because of the clipping diodes used. In a band setting, it probably wouldn't make a lick of difference. Just mention it because you said you were looking for a "klone".

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

Ok, I’m getting the itch to try three Fulltones, the latest Clyde Deluxe wah, Supa-Trem and Mini Deja Vibe. Blems are available on his site, and I’ve been waivering on these for two or three years. We’ll see...

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

Archer + Any other overdrive = lead tone heaven. Currently have mine paired with a Blues Breaker clone, but I've had it paired with an MXR Classic OD, an OCD Clone, and a Sweet Baby clone. It sounds killer with all of them.

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

Only pedal on my wishlist these days is a Fulltone GT-500. I want to replace the Pickup Booster in my 'clean' loop with something capable of adding a little grit as well.

Re: Adding two pedals to my wishlist...

I'd love to try the Plus Pedal, an electronic sustain pedal. I suspect I'd really like it.

I just got this, but I haven’t had a chance to mess with it yet. The demo video is pretty impressive. It has two (for lack of a better word) channels. One side is pure clean boost, and the other is sort of a tube screamer type of gain with a some dirt to it. Each side has its own tone and level controls, and you can use either side alone, or both together. You can also choose which one is first in the order. It’s a pretty cool concept. Seems very well constructed also.

Did you get a two-for-one deal?

Lately I’ve been thirsty for an Archer Ikon and a Wampler Triple Wreck.

And a blue Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face.

And a 535Q.
