adjusting Little '59 pole peices

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or recommendations on the the height placement of the pole peices on a little 59 in the bridge position of a strat. I'm going for a good versatile sound from the pickup. I set the height of the whole pickup about the same as the old single coil.

Good question. With mine I've left the pole pieces the way they were out of the package. Never messed with them. Maybe I should, dunno. :D

yeah mine are like that right now. I don't know if they're set at some certain general position or if they're just sitting random right now and need to be adjusted. My tone pot helps with some of the sound but i was wondering how the height affects the sound.

Try setting them so all the strings have the same volume. If you do I think the poles may begin to look like they follow the neck radius. High up makes the sound hotter and makes it clearer/less hot.

should i do that to both rows of pole pieces or leave one row kind of level and adjust the other row? so many options!

I guess both unless you want to emphasis one coil to make to more single coil like.
