Advice on 2x '59 setup.

Hi,

I'm looking to buy new pickups to replace the stock pickups in my new epiphone les paul custom. I was considering two SD 59's as theyre renound for their solid classic tone, but ive noticed people here mentioning its unusual, any reason why? I generally play classic rock e.g. led zeppelin Guns n roses, but do play other styles. So would two 59's be a good choice?

thanks!! :)

it makes perfect sense to get a set(59b and 59N) for what you want!
whoever said it is unusal to have two 59's in one guitar is smokin something other than ciggies!
:laugh2:

This is a very nice setup. I'm looking for a '59b for my LP (already loaded with '59n). Classic rock all the way.

I dont really like high output pickups... go for 'em !

I've got one in black, single braided conductor wire about 5-6" of lead. Let me know.

I've got a pair of 59's in my Predator. Its my favorite SD setup so far. ;)

BTW - If you go over to the "Tips and Clips" section, look for my song "I Think I Feel Better Now". Its done using 59b for rythm and 59n for lead.
