Advice...possible trade going down tomorrow

I've been looking for a single coil guitar. Preferably a Tele, but a 2001 Squire Strat came up and the guy says he put Fender fat 50's p/u's in it. They're like $200 pickups in a guitar that probably cost $200 to start with. Anyway, looking at trading my stock LTD EC256. Sound like a pretty even deal? I don't have much in the EC. $215.

Do not trust paper receipts alone. Inspect the guitar closely.

Brandish string snips and a cross head screwdriver. If the Squier guy is reluctant to let you see under the scratch plate, walk away.

The flip side to this is that you must be happy to allow similarly close scrutiny of your LTD.
