Advice - sc sized humbuckers for Godin Artisan TC Signature

This is a mahogany body, maple capped, ebony fretboard Tele-style guitar.

Currently 2 Schaller strat-sized humbuckers, with a coil tap on the tone control. One pickup no longer works.

I like P-90s, I liked the single coil mode of a Tele hot rails I heard - thicker but still with some twang and bite. For humbucking in the bridge I like the Custom Custom, in a cheap Ibanez I have.

I'd like a clear , almost acoustic "woody" tone in the neck - like a low output p-90, or the SD Jazz.

That quacky, funky "in-between" sound would be nice with the coil-split on, and both pickups selected.

My dream would be a P-90 like strat size humbucker, but I've never heard anything close

So far, I'm thinking Hot Rails and Vintage Rails. I am not re-routing, and I like the versatility of the current wiring.

Suggestions?

Rio grande makes a P-90 single coil, and from what I heard, it KICKS ASS.

Also, look up the "strat-90" it might suite you also!

*Edit* they aren't humcanceling, but, 60 cycle isn't that big of a deal, and if you want to run high-gain just use a noise supressor.

I'm currently running my telecaster with pretty darn high gain, and no noise supressors and STILL at ear shattering volumes, and the hum isn't bad enough to make me spend $25 on a used noise reducer.

In that guitar I would go with a pair of Cool Rails or a CR in the neck and a Hot Rails in the bridge.

They don't sound anything like P-90's, but they do sound great and can cover a lot of sonic territory.
