what country is AT and where's AT at?

when I got all into wah pedals I liked my Vox better than my Crybaby, but this was before there were 11,000 signature versions and paint jobs of the same exact thing

seems like every pawn shop and music store has * SOME * version out of the 15,000 versions of green Ibanez propping up furniture or some other pedal with a bigger price tag but I mean they are ubiquitous man, everywhere. There's a dude on this very forum whose favorite amp is the same as mine and he said he heated up the front of it with that 808 you mentioned.

Sorry. Saw that Veggie Joe was logged on. I bet you've seen my thread about my Plimsoul but shipping that to AT would be a young fortune, hey?

Hmm, the OCD/plimsoul comparison vid isn't doing it for me. I need to try that on my own,
the plimsoul is in stock at a local dealer, maybe i can ab it with a ts9 :)

update

AndrewLamprechts advice on the lovepedal made me think. buying is outta range, but i tried that boss sd-1 mod (with some help from rich_s). It's a cool addon, but i think i will just add a maxon to my board and stop sittin on fence

finally i did that. i bought an icar pot, adapted input impedance and did some trial and error on sweep cap. much better now.

Yep just get a ts-9

and open up your crybaby and turn the pot back a little bit. On the sweep issue--the pot thing will help actually, but really what you need is practice with the pedal. Learn to work within "sweet spots" and that seemingly awful sweep is gonna turn into something you dig about the pedal. Or at least it's something i dig about crybaby's, they're awesome for that kinda chorus-ish (but not really) thing where you rock it back and forth as fast as possible, and you can use different small parts of the sweep for different things because the whole range is so wide

my stock crybaby didn't have any sweet spot ;)

over here, the maxon od-9 is even cheaper than the ibanez ts-9; would you prefer the ibanez over the maxon?

Definitely the maxon over the ibanez. Better built quality throughout as well as true bypass.
The MXR gtod is also really good - but it has more gain and output than regular type tubescramer style pedals.....but given that i have a bout a dozen dedicated overdrives now, i would say that the only one id take as my desert island od would be the fulltone fulldrive. It can do all the tricks of all the other ts clones, and then a few more or its own. Great pedal!

The gcb95 is not a great pedal - its one of the biggest tone suckers out there. Any wah you get will sound better than that (even when its off). That is unless you modded it to true bypass? Trouble is with true bypass...you can hear how much level you lose when the 95 is on! The new pot and inductor will help, but theres still a lot of great stuff out there that may make you happier again.
Something with a boost in it is a good addition tho, and the ability to set the 'q'. I just bought a MXR/CAE wah which is cool, but theres plenty out there that will slay your gcb95. Have a look on the dunlop website because there are plenty of models that may be a perfect fit for you. You can always spend more on a teese or a fulltone if you want also.
ps...dont overlook morley either - their wahs work different to vox/crybaby style wahs and they are brilliant - wide sweeps and much better contol over the wah point with your foot. No pots to wear out either!

I'm not a wah guy but I just bought a diamond J drive Mk3 the other day .

Kick ass pedal and its got a great clean boost built into it as well that operates serparataly so its 2 for 1

tried the OCD at the shop and didnt really like it. heaps do though. Also really liked the fulltone plimsoul but the Diamond won the race in the end

I've never liked Tube Screamers, but I am loving my BBE Green Screamer. And they are relatively inexpensive--and true bypass--and they include the power supply. What's not to love!

My experience with the BBE GS, would make definitely want to try the BBE Wah--but I already have three wahs. Of those, I prefer my original 1972 Thomas Organ Crybaby.

But the ibanez buffer they have in the ts9 and the ad9 is probably one of my favorites, my guitar sounds significantly better with one of them on my board

I did have a sweet spot in my 95, but it was so miniscule that it was pointless, no real useable range, unless I was trying to play like Cotter from Vent.

Have you ever tried Tim's wah mod? I can use the entire range, just doesn't do the weeeee-screeech-weeee-screeech thing, which I really don't miss that much.

+1 on true bypass, tone killer is the stock crybaby.
