Ok, so I just got a new Fender American Strat (all white, maple neck, looks great, plays like a dream). The only issue is, i'm always playing through headphones, or basically using a keyboard amp sort of like a PA when playing live. I would really like a fender amp like a deluxe reverb or something along those lines. Anyone know any affordable alternatives that don't include searching for years for something used? In terms of price range im talking about 500-1000 (any higher then 1000 and i might as well just get the fender).

Depends on the sounds you are looking for but there are 2 really flexible 40w amps that come to mind in this price range-
You should easily be able to get a new trayner YCV40 in that price range- strengths are a good clean fenderish channel and an easily overdriven marshal like channel- sounds like most folks change out the sovtek tubes but you hear that with most amps-
in the used market that;s about right for a Rivera Chub one of the best allaroudn amps I've ever played- the tone choices are similar to the trayner
interesting to hear if others like these 2 as i will break down and get one of the two one of these days-

Canadian eh..... Me too..... Love white strats with mapleboards!!! good shopping on that one! If you have $500-$1000 to buy an amp that opens a lot of doors.... used amps can be good... i got my 1965 Deluxe amp for $350 Canadian.... i had to spend another $300 to get it working.... New Fender amps you could get a Fender HotRod Deluxe....... A Blues JR.... and a few others.... I want a Blues JR to fool around with oneday.... they seem like cool little tube amps to toy with!

Go Canadian! Old school Garnet. Or Traynor. The 40-50W Traynor YBA's, YGL's, YGA's should sound good and have a Fender vibe to them even if they do not sound exactly like Fender. If you are looking at the ~20W range, the Traynor YGM's with EL84's/6BQ5's should sound good.
You may also find some old US amps around like Sunn, Ampeg, Supro/Gretsch/Valco, Silvertone.
The YCV40's schematic looks a lot like a Fender HRD with a couple extra bells and whistles and a nicer stock speaker to boot. But definitely change out the Sovtek 12ax7wa's.

I have had my Blues Deluxe for around a year now, great amps.
If you shop Ebay you can pick one up for about $350 american, so that is well within you pricerange after exchange.
For about $600 canadian you can probobly pick up the Deluxe, a TS9, and a set of good cables and be in tone heaven.

Right now i have a limited edition laquered Tweed Blues Jr. with a factory Jensen speaker and this thing puts out so much 50's vibe! It sounds SWEET when i play my stock MIM Standard Telecaster through it. Even my US Hwy. 1 Strat sounds really "stratty" through it. Nice little tube amp with a sweet warm tone.
BUT.... The best sounding amp i think i've ever played was a Hot Rod Deluxe that i owned a couple years ago. Fat, spanky, and warm all at the same time. Roll the tone back and switch to your neck pickup and it turns immediately into a bass amp!! No sh*t!!
