Aftermarket Floyd?

I love the sound and feel of all-maple guitars.I always wanted an ESP Kamikaze but didn't want to spend over $3k to get one. A few weeks ago, I picked up an G&L Superhawk and can't seem to put it down. Its SO ARTICULATE, resonant and just sounds damn good. My guitar is a hardtail. Normally, I like non-recessed Floyd's on my guitars. Are there any good luthiers in New England or NY who could instal an aftermarket floyd rose into the guitar?

Peace~

It's not cost effective. I can recommend 30th Street Guitars in NYC or Peekamoose Music, though both are expensive.

Better off buying a guitar that has it already.

Re: Aftermarket Floyd?

If you did have an existing hardtail guitar routed out for a Floyd, it could change the sound drastically, to the point where it no longer has what you used to like about it.

Re: Aftermarket Floyd?

You could see about having it converted to stopbar/TOM setup and then put a Floyd Rose FRX on it.
