exactly... just make sure the gap in the pins is lined up with the gap on the tube socket and be careful not to bend the pins... this applies more to preamp tubes as outside of el84's most power amp tubes have a key way you have to line up... incidently if this is on your MkIV what i do on mine is take all the power tubes out and flip the head upside down just seems easier to do then trying to push them up in..

Power tubes usually have a some sort of plastic guide, so they go in properly.
Pre tubes have a gap between a couple pins, so you need to see the socket it's going into, to see the pattern.
One tip for removing power tubes is to have a cloth in your hand when pulling them out in a gently circular motion. In case one breaks, you won't cut your hand.
Also, hold your other hand above the tube, so if you yank it out, you don't smack it on the inside of your headbox.

If I was at home I could look it up in my manual and tell you for sure. I know you can download the manual from boogies website... Its actually good to have as the MKIV's can be a bit different but its all explained in the manual... But IIRC when you pull out the silent recording it shuts off the power section and you dont need a load. (i know the prescence knobs quit working) Now I could be smokin crack here so look it up to make sure... but maybe...
