The AN is definitely thick and warm, but clean and clear. Doom riffs with a ton of gain are mucho badassery.

Roll the tone knob down a bit and play Ironman or something with the gain up, muhahahahaha.

Not all, just the rectumfriers.

They don't have to sound like the buzzsaw Nu-metal/ Modern rock sound that is so prevelant on radio these days. They can do sounds that are better than that. Especially versital if you have a roadking.

If you like the AN split, why don't you try it wired parallel. You get brightness and articulation but more output than split as a single coil.

Parallel full humbuckers always seem a bit gutless to me...strat sized parallel seems to work better. I'm gonna try the AN in the neck of an mahogany 540S, I think that might work, the EVO-N got me what the AN wasn't bringinig in this slot.
