Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

The lick at 1:22 is pretty smart, as is the note at 1:43.. liking those high notes!

Sounds pretty good man.

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

Jeff, your clips are sick :baby:

Glad it got there OK and glad ya like it! It def has the DiMarzio vibe...Satch-like!

Just gotta say too...keep it up man...you are a helluva player, you def are gonna "make it" in music if ya stick to it, and make wise choices in life!

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

Haha thanks much guys... I really love the DiMarzio vibe. Can't wait to get a bridge Evo or Tone Zone in...

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

I was using a Tweed Bassman setting on my PODxt with a bit of sine chorus. It was using the modeled 4x10 tweed cabinet and using the 67 condenser with about 30% room. I used a bit of reverb in Nuendo, and had a slapback delay on the very ending clean bit.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I don't think I'll be going back to Duncan for a long while... Sorry Seymour!

DiMarzio just has a great modern voicing that really suits my playing style, moreso than Duncans more Vintage based voicing.

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

Sounds like you were going for that Epilogue vibe, i do like it though jeff. That was in the neck position right?

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

Not going for any real vibe here actually, if anything it was a Petrucci'ish vibe. Yessir, in the neck position.

DiMarzio's give me wood, too, now.

Those is fightin' words in there here parts. ;)

Sounded great. Keep rockin'. I am glad you found something that made you want to to push forward. You were a bit down when sellin' the Rhoads.

Rock on...

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

Cool clip! I agree with Nuntius...there were actually several "smart" phrases in there. I really like the ending too.....kinda Zeppelinish, even if you didn't think of that when you did it.

Weeeeiird... I'm actually not a fan of the Zep at all.

Joe and Rid, thanks for the compliments! Rid, I'm glad your jam-happy ass is back!

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

sorry to revive a thread that old but that clip kicks some serious butt.
i was unsure if the air norton would go well as a neck pup for my future air zone in the bridge, but after hearing that sound it's definitely going in there.
Thanks jeff and keep up the good work.

Re: Air Norton Lead + Cleans

LOL Holy thread ressurection, Batman!

No worries dude, I ended up ditching it though, as I've switched to 7 strings exclusively. I'll probably put an Evo/Air Norton set in my ESP, though, if I don't sell it.
