AKG c1000s - any experiences?

im thinking of picking one of these up to compliment an SM57 in a small (no, tiny) home studio.. it's mainly for overheads and ambient micing, thats what im looking for, anyway..

will it suit me? would anything else do the job better for the same sort of £?

I'm telling you for the price you can't beat that mic. I got the set with the C1000s and the C3000s...both of them are INCREDIBLE mics for the price you pay! I highly recommend it man (does great on acoustic guitars as well)
