Alipine White Custom LP

Re: Alipine White Custom LP

Over $3k for a Gibson. I've priced them myself because that is the color I'd get too given the choice on a Custom.

Re: Alipine White Custom LP

Looks like they're about $3100 new but I'm sure you can get it for a few hundred less than that from a good dealer.

If you happen to find one used, I'm thinking you could probably get it for around $2k in very good condition, maybe a little less.

Re: Alipine White Custom LP

The GC here has one for $3099, 100 bucks more than the black one...for what reason?

I love the look of a Custom, but they are ALWAYS heavier.

O MY GOD!!!

Im sorry but HELL NO! HELL NO!

I am buying one of those, JESUS CHRIST I want one really bad but im not gonna pay 3k... you know whats wrong with gibson? Why would they make it so expensive?

Re: Alipine White Custom LP

Why? Because they are made in the Custom Shop, not on the same line as the Standards and Studios. The Customs are truly hand built. You're not only paying for the quality woods and materials, but for the man hours put in to make it. Good luthiers aren't cheap.

Well, my why was just reiterating your why about the price, then answering it, but OK....LOL.

I like the Studios but the white just looks off without the binding to me.

Haha... O well Im in a pickle golly...

Cause ive been to USA Jacksons and Japanese ESPs and Gibsons.

Theres only one Gibson I want and its too expensive for me right now, they dont sell ESPs where im going, so its down to the usa jacksons and now im trying to think of which one. Any help at all from anyone would be greatly appreciated, I can spend 1000-2000 THANKS!

Re: Alipine White Custom LP

Look for a used Standard LP if you want a LP. They can be had in that range. Heck, you might get lucky and find a R7 Historic under $2,000.

Can't help ya in the Jackson arena other than they are well made guitars and worth every penny. Just not my thing, they don't fit me.

If you want a well made LP, but don't want to pay the price get a Heritage. You can get all the features you want (if you custom order it) and land within your price range.

I own both (Gibson and Heritage) , but I'm about to sell my Heritage since I can't justify having two nearly identical guitars, especially since I've never been wild about the Heritage's color.
