A Strat neck fits a Tele pocket just fine; either the pickguard or the 22nd fret extension of the fingerboard covers the gap.

Edit: Took a look at the body on the 1st page, and this one seems to have a Strat pocket.

Correct, neck pocket was 2 1/4" Charvel strat

I’m working on one with gold glitter too. How many coats of clear did you need to put on to bury the texture of the glitter?

Two cans of glitter, and then three cans of clear. However, I sanded with 800 after two cans and then again with 1000 just before the last coat.

No primer, just sanding sealer, gold base, glitter and then clear.
