Seeing another thread and having a recent experience of my own led me to start this thread. Which of us has had a sweet guitar or component sniped out from underneath you at ebay or even in IRL? Mine was a hardtail Squier body in Shoreline gold with a single humbucker loaded pickguard. Oh how I wish I could have made her mine... *SIGH*

My guitar teacher told me a friend of his had a red Carvin Jason Becker model for less than a grand... a week after he had sold it. Then he approved of my buying a secondhand RG920 on Musician's Friend... a week after it arrived, he told me I should have waited until August and buy from a Singaporean web instead for less taxes and shipping fees.

I'd hate that guy if I hadn't an excessive amount of reverence and love for him.

My 3rd guitar was from an actual pawn shop (this was the late 80's when you could still find reasonable stuff at PS's) I had gone there just to look around, but had no $ with me (I was stopping in on the way home from work) THey had a 335-style guitar (a "Hagstrom Viking", with a Strat-shaped headstock)that just felt and played perfect and sounded OK (only one pup worked but I could take care of that) Of course by the time I went home and came back with the $ it was gone...
