BS123 New member Aug 2, 2004 #2 Re: Alnico 2 and alnico 5.How do I tell them apart? When I had a Duncan 5-2 Telecaster bridge pickup, I noticed that the E,A,&D poles were kind of dark-looking. The G,B,&E (high) were bright and silver.
