Hey everyone, it's been a while since I sought advice on here... So I was thinking of dropping in an A2P in the neck of my SG. Since I'm recently obsessed with the Slash tone and I know he uses them I thought I might try one out. What I would like to know before I buy one is if it will give me a similar tone even though it's not gonna be used in a LP. My SG is all solid mahogany with a rosewood board, I have a '59 in the bridge (which I love) and a Pearly Gates neck model which sounds good n bluesy but doesn't quite have that Slash edge.
By the way, to get a good Wah sound with that would it be a wise decision to go with a Crybaby Classic with the fasel inductor?? -- I've tried a Crybaby Original once with my friend's LP and it was completely lacking range & sucked the tone out when bypassed.
