I was reading the Warren Haynes interview on the SD site. He mentioned having Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers in his Firebirds. I've never seen such a pickup on the site. Are these Custom Shop pups?

Re: Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers

not sure what he has in there, i think most duncan minis are alnico V. id be curious to know what hes got

Re: Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers

all the minis i have seen have been either alnico 5 or ceramic. I would be very interested in the pickups he has

The Antiquity Firebirds are A2. Great sound! Are you sure he's not meaning Firebirds but saying mini's? After all, he uses Firebird guitars.

Gibson calls Firebird pickups minihumbuckers. I don't think he means the ones with adjustable polepieces like the LP Deluxe.

Re: Alnico II Pro Mini-Humbuckers

i thought the antiquity II series had all aged alnico 5 magnets and the I series had alnico 2's

Are you sure it's not a misprint? Antiquity firebird pickups are in the Antiquity II line. He could have a standard Antiquity Firebird pickup in there. It could refer to the Antiquity II line.
