I know I have been on here threading, searching basically giving myself a ****ing headache. It seems from all I research these are the 2.
For my LP bridge is it thee:
JB or SH-5?

Important: Punch. Thickness. Thick solos and sustain. Palm muted chunk.
Bottom end.

For: Metal, Blues, hard rock.

Going in: Les Paul Standard through Marshall.

Tones I like: Skid Rows Dave Snake Sabo, John Sykes, EVH, Gary Moore, Zakk with more low end.

Lets do it baby! Gonna buy Tuesday!

I'm gonna say Custom. I like blues and hard rock myself, and it's plenty good for metal. All that and PAF feel to boot.

Snake would've used a JB...EVH would've picked a Custom (of those choices) Wylde I've guessing would've chosen a Custom as well. That's just my take, feel free to disagree.

Definetly the SH-5 with the demands you've given. The JB is w/o doubt looser and more airy than the Custom. The Custom will bring the goods, baby! It's tight, aggressive, thick, crunchy, well rounded, and rich in flavor!! Love at first listen~

...In a LP, so do I. ..250k pots only, though! ..And it does sound like he's asking for the Custom.

BTW don't know if anyone is familiar with Gibsons Burstbucker Pros in there Standards. Great pups but when playing higher notes and strings it gets quite brite and thin. Just want to make sure the Custom doesn't have this effect since thats why I am changing out the burstbucker Pros.

Re: Alright! Final CHOICE! JB or SH-5?

I had a custom custom come in my Washburn nx6(pakauk) and didnt really care for it. I'm more like Keano12, I wanted a heavier sound. So I had a jb that was in my Carvin Dc127(Mahogany neck and wings with flame maple cap) and the JB just didn't have the"crunch I was looking for. So after I put h22 Holdsworth pick ups in the Carvin(which are great by the way!) and put the JB in the Washburn. It had a nice sound but had a "openess" to it I did'nt like. Almost a single coily kind of sound. SOOOOOOOOO, the sh-5 will be going in this week. I hope to get the same results that K12 is looking for. Try a Carvin h22. They are realatively cheap(55 bucks) and sound great!

Not to get off the track, but I would say the C-5 or even the Rio Grande BBQ.
