I was actually thinking of buying the duncan distortion mayhem set.

But i want something that in an lp will have all that i want, not too trebly but still good clarity, tight bass and balls.

I think the distortion mayhem set will give you the tone you are looking for. With Duncans 21 day exchange policy, you have nothing to lose.

Inno, but i am in Denmark so shipping and all.

I dont just play metallica, but my own stuff is also close to it.

What i am afraid of in the EMG's is that i will grow tired of them, and that they will be TOO over the top.

What about the Jazz/JB combo, PGn/Cb or perhaps Dimarzios?

James never used a Destroyer. And since 99% of his guitars are custom, they necessarily wouldn't be "stock" pickups. The production Truckster is stock with the EMG 81/60 set.

Thats how rampant the destroyer gas is here on the forum, its replaced the word explorer when referring to that style of guitar.

Oh mighty hell.

I just heard the band that got me started to play, D-A-D, i had moved abit away from them, but when i heard a classical Heavy rock riff played on the guitarist Gibson ES-446 in to his 2203 it just blew me away it sound AMAZING, its loaded with a Antiquity in bridge and phat cat in neck. I am thinking of getting something like his cuz i never thought the Antiquity had this much balls.

How does antiquity bridge sound in a les paul? And what neck p-u would be good compared with it?

Okay just a collection of songs i like alot, and these are all with a 2203 or plexi.

The guitars are les pauls, ES-335 and ES-135 mainly.

I actually think i need a moderate output pickup because the engl got shet loads of gain, but its up to your advice.

They are the main tracks, you have to press "lyt" which is listen in danish, and a box will come up and the track should play.

I REALLY hope you can help me with this, as i admitted dont know heck about pickups.
