Always on my Mind

Re: Always on my Mind

SUPERB!!! That is what guitar playing is all about in my book: melody, emotion. Not simply how fast and how many notes can you play.
Wonderful arrangement, definitely the less is more approach. The acoustic backing part was extremely well arranged. Truly one of the best things I have heard on this forum.

Awesome. Had a more progressive "Tears In Heaven" type of feel.

Crap I want my slide back now!

I had a brass one, but I gave it to a friend because I never used it...

I think you said somewhere you use a glass one?

I'll have to look into getting one again...

Great job man, very well played!

I have both glass and brass slides. The glass is smoother!!!

Re: Always on my Mind

Kirk uses a heavy brass slide on his songs (at least according to his web page). I have a thin brass slide and it just doesn't cut it. It doesn't give a clear tone. As for glass I have broken all the good ones I have bought. I usually leave them on top of the amp and sooner or later they fall off and shatter.

Very nice. I love country melodies done like that.....

Great job man. Wonderful stuff.

Re: Always on my Mind

Thank you so much for the nice feedback, fellow twangers. I really do appreciate it.

Since someone asked for more, I posted a new one up, an old big band tune.
