Re: Am I being unreasonable???
I always make it a point to my luthier to not worry about rushing the work, but he's still pretty efficient and gets minor things out quickly. At a certain point, you have to make a comprise between the two. You're paying for a service and it should have top priority when it hits the bench regardless of his backlog or star customers. I use to go to the Hollywood Sam Ash for setups and minor repairs, but he's always swamped with about 10-20 guitars depending on the week. I found someone who does better work and gets it done at half the time. Case in point, there's a small guitar shop 5 mins away from me that can turnaround setups in 1 day and fret dress in 2, but the work can be hit or miss. Find a happy medium.
