Look what just came in!!

I have been using the Rothwell love squeeze compressor, which is a great unit. It’s a simple 2 knob design and it was exactly what I needed since it was really my first compressor. It did its job and sounded great all while being dead easy to operate. I feel like the Vice Grip is a great step up and will allow me even more control over the compression.

Now, the Andromeda is a huge step up from my TC electronic Flashback. It’s going to take a bit of learning how to operate it. Especially the midi functions. This (and my Mobius) will be my first foray into the midi world.

I am possibly in the market for a good mid-gain type OD.
The Splawn covers all my higher gain needs.

Similar control layout, but WAY more natural sounding than a Metal Zone. I'd compare it to a high gain amp channel. What the Metal Zone should have sounded like.

I’m hoping I’ll have a few minutes this weekend to play with the Andromeda.
The dynamic feature is one of the functions that sold me on this pedal. I can’t tell you how many times over the years I dial in what seems like a great delay setting but I just can’t get it to sit right in the mix. It’s either too loud or too quiet. With the dynamic feature it ducks in and out based on your picking dynamics. Very cool.
