That's why I advise folks not to do a lot of upgrades on inexpensive guitars. It's darn near impossible to get your money out of a majorly upgraded instrument.marty_the_westie said:Not to get pickey, but that is a $400 guitar brand new. My advice would be if you still have 'em to put the original parts (except the nut) back on and then sell the parts separately. That'll maximize the $$$ you get out of it.
As long as you know what you're getting into.ranalli said:Well to be honest, I'm all for upgrading cheaper guitars....I do it myself alot, however, I know that I'm going to get completely raped if I decide to sell...that's why I make sure they are keepers.

marty_the_westie said:I had originally planned on keeping this guitar for a very long time, but not too long after I got it and did all the upgrades, I got a good deal on a 1260 prestige, which is almost exactly the same, except for bigger frets and mahogany instead of ash. Thing is, I like the feel of the prestige so much better, and not to mention that I put a Paf Pro in the prestige, which I like a lot better than the Virtual Paf. I'm not sure if I'm going to relist it. I have far too much money in this to give away. Foolishly, I sold the original parts, so I cannot even piece it out. Live and learn I guess. All seriousness though, that guitar is a real player, and will absolutely destroy any other Korean import in tone and playability.

This has been my experience on Ebay and classifieds time and time again.
