Quick question how do the stock american Special P-Bass pickups fair? I picked some up on eBay to replace the stock pickups in my cheapo Harley Benton bass. Are they somewhat decent compared to cheap chinese pickups?

IMO, the plastic bobbin Fender Am Std P Bass pickup is an improvement over the stock Hartley Benton item. Just don't expect wonders.
