amp builders - ever try this?

ever make an amp with 3 phase inverter tubes? like invert it, then invert it back, then invert it back again?

i dunno why that idea just popped into my head. There is no point to it, as of yet, maybe someone can chime in with that part

Re: amp builders - ever try this?

I'm sure there could be a point, like put gain stages inbetween them so you get tons of PI distortion, which people rave about quite a bit

Re: amp builders - ever try this?

I bet it'd be better than adding extra preamp tubes - you might be onto a cool idea...

Re: amp builders - ever try this?

Well, you could also think that as more components you add more signal you are exposed to lost.

Let's see if an amp builder (like Scott_F) has a more technical input for your question.

Re: amp builders - ever try this?

For lack of a technical explaination... I don't think it's a feasible Idea. The PI in a class A/B amp acts as some what as a voltage see-saw. While one tube is seeing 50+ voltage the other 50-. I don't see what having more than One would accomplish?
