amp for metal and jazz

Re: amp for metal and jazz

You want the Krank Krankenstien, no more no less. The clean channel is absolutely pristine tube clean. It's a Dime signature amp, so the Dime channel needs no introduction.

Re: amp for metal and jazz

well dime used solid state amps so don't be afraid of pedal distortion.

maybe a fender blues jr. with a metal muff or something.

If you give us a price range and volume requirements I might be recommending some very different amps.

Re: amp for metal and jazz

well something around 1500-2000 dollars , im not sure if i want a combo or halfstack but either would ...depending on the amp.....and as far as the mesa roadster im not a fan of it...its too confusing and too much for me...i was also thinking of the fender twin reverb... i mean how crunchy get this amp possibably get?...what would you have to do without resorting to amp modifications besides changing the speakers (unless the speaker change affect a crystal clear glossy tone)

Re: amp for metal and jazz

Re: amp for metal and jazz

Why not one the mentioned clean amps with a Dime distortion? Try it out in a store or something. Some people complain of fuzziness but it depends on how you EQ it and what amp you are playing through.
