is the preamp on a separate board thats easily replaced?
dang there is alot in that thread!
sure seems like it, im reading through it and will come back to it, i love how in depth it is
I have been looking at the Fender Tone Master 1x10 powered cab which is made for modelers. There were issues with the first run of those (which are most of them for sale now) in that they have an unbearable hiss to them. Fender has 'corrected' it and there is even a 3rd party preamp available to eliminate it, but it would be cool to have a special cabinet for a modeler.
Yeah, I point anyone interested in those amps to that thread, as it seems the guy really put a lot of time into making them better.
Those are interesting. I hadn't seen those before. 10" speaker, with a tweeter, and a 1000 Watt amp. But It is kinda too bad that they need mods straight out of the box to be their best.
Apparently, they hiss pretty bad . . .
Fender snake oil? :naughty:
Also, they are a little loose with the wattage rating, too.
Class D always is. I'm still a little wary of it. I've had to repair a few units that just went "poof" for no apparent reason. The "repair", is to replace the whole module.
