I'll occasionally throw up a clip and see if you can guess if it's a real amp or software amp.

Remember, every clip will have some kind of production on it (read: studio sauce)... so it's "mix ready".

I'll eventually reveal the answer.

This was my '66 Deluxe cranked (literally) - strat with singles REAL AMP

There's some kind of unevenness in the distortion and response that makes me think it's a real amp. The reverb and some kind of phasey thing going on on top makes me think it's not an amp, or at least those effects were added after the track. My gut thinks it's a real amp. But again, the track has production on it, and I'm not listening on nice studio monitors in a proper listening environment, so I really can't tell. But it sounds good enough.

Man, you even have the out of pitch part of Link Wray down.

I vote real amp, made to sound intentionally phasey and sheeny to fool us into thinking it's a plug in.

Think I am good thru the cans, just need to blast it thru the surround when everyone is awake. I will probably still miss, but it's fun playing. You are way too good at this LLL.

LLL, you should not ever stop doing these kinds of threads.

I was thinking pizza threads were more appropriate ( ), but yeah, gotta have relevant interesting info to keep members around and attract new ones... lest we lose any more. :smoker:
