Amp rebuild day!

I did a final rebuild on my amp as i pretty much trashed my old one trying various mods drilling holes in the chassis etc so i wanted a clean build. I'll still be keeping my original build to try out further mods and for nostalgia as it was the first amp i ever built even if it had a few random pops going on here and there.

I also upped the spec on a few parts. I was going to go with Clarostat pots but a few of them were out of stock and i didnt want to wait.

This one turned out fantastically. Whisper quiet and fantastic tone.

I got a bit slapdash towards the end (channel switch wiring & Loop as my new guitar arrived and i needed the amp finished to play it as i pulled the Onetics from my previous build)

So here are the pics of the new build in no particular order.

Re: Amp rebuild day!

Do you even care about your work at all?

I'm just kidding, dude. These are simply gorgeous, and if it sounds half as good as it looks, you should have professionals knocking down your door to get their hands on one. I love these threads.

You'll love the MKII when I start it. It's already driving me mad and all i've done is started the BOM for the resistors which took about 8 hours of cross referencing the pcbs against 3 different schematics all with different part designators :(

Hopefully the rest will be simpler.

Oh yeah i got more info on the ampclones uberschall. Someone I chat with built one and bought a Rev1 uber to compare it to and said it's pretty spot on other than the ampclones one has a better clean channel.

Here are a couple of clips that he did..
