AMP Squealing AFTER Tube Change

When I sit close to my XXX, facing it to adjust the controls, it screams like an unholy demon (think LOTR ring wraiths). Not a "normal" microphonic sound. Ive been living with it because im usually not that close.

Even with strings muted and not playing anything, if I get close, all hell breaks loose. I have to turn around to get it to stop, or roll off volume.

Cab is in another room so its not speaker feedback. Its like something in the head is sending something to the pickups which causes it.

All guitars do it.

Retubed power and pres with all Groove Tubes and its the same.

Ideas? Could something be broken or is this just the way it is when a guitar is close to the head?

Re: AMP Squealing AFTER Tube Change

Something is definitely wrong there. To do this, your amp would have either be broadcasting an in-phase signal or have a parasitic oscillation that lowers to an audible frequency when you get close. Either way, it sounds like it's sick and needs to see a doctor.
