Amp Tool

There was an item that allowed you to add an extra channel to any amp rather easily and for the life of me I can't find it.

Can someone please provide me with a link?

Thankyou

Re: Amp Tool

i've never heard of such a thing in my life.... i built a large and expensive rig with custom made amp switcher so i could change heads when i need another channel..

Re: Amp Tool

no. I think it is something to do with adding an extra preamp to the power amp or something. This Washburn head I have has a great internal distortion, lots of drive but it is only single channel so I want another channel for cleans.

If there is some other way I can get around this please let me know.

Please don't suggest I buy another amp... seriously... My other amps have enough channels and modes for me. This is for my rhythm guitarist who needs to be able to switch from clean to that nice drive this particular head has.

Re: Amp Tool

Try a Boost or OD set to clean boost. Set the drive low for cleaner sounds from the amp, then hit the boost to bring the gain back up to where you were before. However, some Randall amps tend to be distortion or clean, the in between isn't so good. When you roll back on the guitar volume knob how does the amp clean up?

it's not for a Randall, that has all the channels I need.

This is for a Washburn PG100. When the volume is rolled back it cleans up ok but not enough.

Re: Amp Tool

does anyone recall this item? I swear I've seen it posted here before and Mephis mentioned it once.
