talked to scott..and I feel a little better..
first off he said that as long as the tubes I have in there now aren't burning brighter than usual it's ok..and moving them around is fine cause they're a matched quad...
secondly he said because the way teh loop is designed, it'll sound a little harsh and thin at low volumes..when you turn it up it starts to 'catch up' to the rest of the amp...so he told me to make sure I have the loop bypassed even though there's nothing in there..because even with nothing connected, it'll still be engaged (which also accounts for th elittle sonic screech I get when I power down..that's the fx loop shutting off)..
so I think I should be ok...he said try that out and see if it still works...if it works ok, then I can send him the bum tubes back and he'll send me new ones..
I hope I have the d**n boxes the tubes came in!!!!!
