Ampeg Mercury?

I went to the store the other day and found one of these. SOunded great to my ears. Very nice clean sound. It's only $389 and thought about getting it. Its beat to ****, but everything works. Is it worth the buy? Does anyone know anything wlse about these?

There was also a silverface twin for $500 it was working fine but was also beat up pretty bad. For only $500 would it be worth the blackface mod?

id go for the twin, and even if no mods were done..... its a workhorse, cant go wrong with em....

yeah it is...... if you wanna hear it you could listen to my recordings in my link below called "psychobilly" or "hey hey"

they are often kind of put aside in the talk of all amps because they are just solid, clean, loud, and tone machines........theres not much room to talk about twins, they are straightforward amps with no hang ups...... thats why they are kind of, almost in a way, overlooked......and can be had for good prices

if u like them and they are beat bad cosmetically, you could build or buy new enclosures for them. one cant put a price on good tone
