Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

My God!! With so many differant "flavors" of Fender and Marshall it would be great to spend about a week with each one of those collections to help you narrow a choice down.

You want to see an insane collection of Marshall and Vox amps? Go to www.plexipalace.com and click on their showroom. Some guy in England has a collection of the mentioned amps that you won't even begin to believe.

I asked them about that collection one time, and they said that the guy who owns that estate full of Marshalls and Voxes owns a music retail company in the UK (forget who), and he bought all those amps cheap, back in the 80's, when they were out of style and were selling for 1/5 of what they're worth now.
It's truly the most amazing Marshall and Vox collection anybody's ever seen.

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

Totally off subject - but I have NEVER been able to find out what those big speakers with the blue horn looking think in the center of the woofers are. I see them in studios all the time, what the heck are they (make/model wise)?

I love Komets. This one is the best on the planet as far as looks are concerned. The Cabinet is made of flame maple with purpleheart accents. Not only does it look good, it sounds unbelievably good!:fingersx:

Cris Mirabella of Mirabella guitars did the work on the cabinet. It belongs to one of his customers.

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

the only pic of it is in my mind at the moment...

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

wow there is a Duncan Amp there
I used to LOVE my convertible. It's been so long now, and I play some nicer amps, I keep wanting to hear one. I don't remember what they sound like really, just that it was kinda Mesa Mark / 80s-ish.

I don't see any Mark IIB's or IIc+s in these pics - although not my fave amps.

Those colored marshalls are TO DIE FOR!

There is a place near me called the AMP SHOP- I think their inventory should be posted as a pic! Everything from Bogner to Rivera, Marshall, Framus, Blockhead, Orange, Carr.

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

dude......holy ****!!!!!!

who needs that many amps? why not sell them and just get the best and rare-ist of them?

is there really that much of an audible difference between all of those? i mean why? you would have to play one a day for like 2 years to test them all and by that time you would have forgotten what the first 300 sounded like..... maybe they should ship a few to me just to get a load off.

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

Maybe I'm crazy...maybe I'm shameless..I don't care!

THE best amp I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Stinger Blues Man. Just insanely good, IMO. The cleans rival anything I've ever heard...crank up the volume a bit and you get sweet tubey break up...and I hit it with a Tubulator (soon an OCD) for dirt. Amazing amp!

Re: Amplifier GAS Picture Thread.

I wanna know how this new mesa dual recto sounds:

RoadsterCombo-Fnt-MAIN.gif

it is the "dual rectifier roadster" ...I love combos since you can show up at a gig or audition with a guitar in one hand, and amp in the other. This one is a closed back cab (like the 5150 combos) but has alot of options similar to the Road King.
