Looks like the folks at AMT have been busy. A whole new series of Legend Amps pedals. I've been eyeing the S1 for a while now from the original line but I really like the features of the S2, especially the added "channel".

Only useful if you really need the extra channel. I wanted to try a K2 or D2 but would have preferred a K1 or D1 instead. The $50 price difference for a clean channel sucks.

I've got the S1 up for sale in the trading post. It's probably my favorite out of all the AMT pedals, and I won't be too heartbroken if it doesn't sell.

Get an R2 and D2 and then mount them to a pedalboard in the proper shape..LOL. That would be greatness.

With the way I plan on using it, direct in to a small console for practice or in to a power amp, the S2 with the extra channel is nice.

I would say that would work for you but ONLY if you plan on getting the S2 and no other AMT pedal. If you plan on getting any others, try to get one of the _2 series ones (K2, D2, O2, C2, etc) that only comes as a _2 and get the S1.

I've thought of that as well. Especially if I wanted a different "clean" tone.
