An INSANELY Versatile Les Paul

Tone Fiend in Residence
Hey folks — as part of my "Pagey Project" series on maxed-out Les Paul wirings at tonefiend.com, I just posted a new video featuring the most extreme wiring scheme I've ever tried: a modern adaptation of the original Page wiring incorporating Triple Shot Mounting Rings. This arrangement provides well over a hundred switching combination. And to make matters worse, I used two spare push/pull pots to operate an onboard germanium overdrive.

Too much? I distort, you decide. ;)

Awesome playing man, but that's way too much crap going on in one guitar for.

I always love these videos... you really 'feel' it when you play. I get into it and non of your playing is remotely close to what I would play or listen to lol.

Awesome job man!

Re: An INSANELY Versatile Les Paul

Based on Joe's post and my OCD, the moment I retrieved my jaw from the floor I darted to Amazon ordered 2 to put on a hot-rodded combo set in an ultra uncool Tradition LP.

A - Thanks scads, Joe!!
B - The good factor (I know - measurable and reproducible) by geometric levels in that anchor. The little .022 cap is working overtime to deal with the combinations and all the flexibility this setup has.
C - Very little cheddar shelled out to get them to my door and I would ensure you are ready to whiff solder when the UPS guy leaves - I couldn't help it...

The rest of the overall project will have to hold off BUT - if you have humbuckers and haven't coil split them before, ahem - say no more say no more... (A newbie's opinion - grain of salt....) I totally get where papersoul is coming from and for stage musicians it would likely need to be a set & forget unless you are might dexterous. For the tinkerer and those that aren't paying for meals with your band income, it's a hell of a add, a small change and a substantial tool that doesn't remove your original sound.
