aNaLoG.MaN King of Tone

Re: aNaLoG.MaN King of Tone

How's it compare to the Tim (or Timmy).....which one did you get?

Well, I never ordered my Tim and Timmy pedals...it just diudn;t work out for me on those. I've spoken with Paul recently and can still get one (or both ) if I decide to but to be hoenst with the Lovetone and now the KoT Im just not sure I need either of them!

Re: aNaLoG.MaN King of Tone

The Tim/my is much more gainy.
But great pedals as well:)

I think they have several options if I saw the rows correctly.
Nice pedal indeed!

Thats what I heard abotu the Tim/Timmy pedals but I might still try one out just to see...

Also, there are lots of options on the KoT...thats what makes it so nice!

Re: aNaLoG.MaN King of Tone

Sorry I talked you into buying one Christian ;)

Oh, no worries there!

I was on the list fo a long time but after reading about it I had to try one! It really wasn;t that bad, you just get on the list and them forget about it, then one day you get a magical email from Mike and it's over!

Re: aNaLoG.MaN King of Tone

the protos where really good, there was way less knobs though. i can only assume the extra controls are a benefit with different guitars and amps.

jim, myself and a few others were at my friend marks house comparing all sorts of things. two rocks, fargens, old fenders etc... the proto sounded great thru anything we tried it with but really sounded best thru a blackface fendery type amp at least to my ears. the tone was more organic than the two rock or matchless or marshall.

jims a really nice guy and can play the crap outta the tele

The proto's of the KoT has one tone control, one gain control and 2 drive controls, the KoT v4 has 2 seperate gain, vol and tone controls...for a total of 6 controls so you can tweak each side completely different for whatever reason you see fit...
