And Bogner amps are made where?

Re: And Bogner amps are made where?

Here's how it works.

Bogner amps are splitting into two lines:

There's 'Bogner Custom Shop' for all the current California-made amps: uber, XTC, Shiva, Duende etc. These will continue to be made in California by Bogner.

Meanwhile, there's a new line coming out that are going to be known as 'Bogner' amps. These will be made in China and distributed worldwide by Line 6. The first amp will be the 'Alchemist', available soon.

So 'Bogner Custom Shop' will be the US amps we know and love, and 'Bogner' will be import amps.

This does lead to some interesting scenarios. I work for the New Zealand Bogner importer. However, Line 6 is only available through a large local chain. So we'll have the US amps, and they'll have the Chinese amps.

I'm curious about the new Chinese Bogners coming out. Could be some cool stuff for pretty decent prices.

Not that I intend to sell the Uberschall any time soon...

Yeah, my next amp will likely be an Alchemist, even though it's Chinese made.

Nowadays, you can almost split them into 3 groups....the Line 6 Bogners (China), the all tube Alchemist with FX (China), and the American stuff made on Victory Blvd, right here in the San Fernando Valley (North Hollywood, Ca).
