John S./aka/STRATDELUXER97 has been back in the laboratory again....out of his bubbling pot of voodoo-vibe-stew comes yet another new monster of a pedal from the deep dark depths of Rock-Dom. Another Boss box has been plucked from the pile of disrespected pedals and given new life that all should enjoy.
I give you the OS-2, people!!
I just received my modded-by-John version a few days ago, and IMHO it's the best Boss pedal John has put out yet.Tweaking the control pots on it I can nail the modded DS-1 sound, I can get a modded SD-1 sound, I'm hearing another sound almost like a medium fuzz that's really bitchin'. This pedal has a little bit of everything....and it stays on my board! I hear Marshall amp modelling sounds out of it, too. Awesome tone, and sustain up the yang.
You nailed this one, John!! This is the best Boss pedal I have, not to take anything away from your modded DS-1 or SD-1....but this OS-2 is the sh!t, brudda!!!
I'm thinking most people would be hard pressed not to have one of these as a mandatory pedal in their effects-chain. If I had to pick any pedal to have modded by you, and I didn't have any of the others, it'd be this one.
Very, very cool stuff! John's OS-2 will be the next surge of pedals that he'll be working on for people here at the forum.
That's my prediction.

WOW! Very cool Bobby....Guess I better stock up somemore on the OS-2 mods stuff....Lately it's been wah wahs though! LOL As always brother,thanks for posting...I Love reading these kinds of posts as you know..It is very important for me to stress again this: These mods are all my ideas and are in no way copies of "anyone else's"....Honest to God all...

It's a half rackmount box, I got it for free..and it makes you sound like Tom Sholtz!, Just like Tom Sholtz...the problem is I hate Tom Sholtz!!! :laugh2: Let me know!

Send me the OS-2 and let me pass on the Rockman...That stuff was terrible with noise and hiss...I used to have some of his rack stuff...Too much noise! Sold it all in the 80's... :wink:

That Rockman stuff was great if you were doing a Boston cover band,but all the tones were one trick pony and those effects were very noisey.....
