I 've been looking around for the right pup's in my epi LP, and for a long time I thought that the APH1 set was perfect, but then I read some threads about an APH1/CC
combination... from what I 've read about them they 're both fantastic , but can someone tell me what the difference would be between the APH1 set and the APH1/CC? which one would be better of you wanted to get a "slash" solo sound but yet a kinda "old school heavy metal" tone for playing rhythm...
sorry for asking so many questions but otherwise I might buy the wrong combination and since I don't have a few millions to spend... :yell:

Well, I would go with the CC/aph. I have found the CC does metal and classic rock very well and also does Slash very well also. I think it may do the slash sound a little better than the APH bridge. The reason for this is, Slash uses a custom shop APH instead of the standard APH. Maybe the tone of the CC is closer to the custom shop Slash pickups than the APH?
