Re: Angus
the ac30 is definately on my list of an amp i might get...... the ac30 is really sweet sounding, also very loud for 30 watts or whatever it is.... i think the rockers have stayed away from it a bit, because it does have a jangly tone, from the certain characteristics the highs in the amp have...... but i love that sound, GREAT clean tone. My main thing is that i don't like alot of bass...and 4x12 cabs bring that huge amount of bass that i dont like...... 2x12 combos, or head+2x12 cab is where i like it, and i like open back cabs as well, for the clean tone that spaces throughout the room
Guitar Toad said:yes, I am obviously still on the front end the amp learning curve. From all that you say, the Fender may be the way for me to go as well. Angus just gets awesome tone that I think would work for a pure blues players. But, i ain't gonna have access to the best of the best that he plays.
In your estimation, where does the Vox AC30 fit into the blues-rock spectrum? I know a lot of rockers and pop guys have used the AC30 over the years. Fender must still be better.
Yes, I want a copy of that Jimi stuff.
