I still need a Marshall. i've literally never even played through a real Marshall. I can't imagine what I'm missing!

Here's the latest addition ! - a 100 watt Superlead from 1976 modified with two master volumes in addition to the standard high treble and normal volumes, one post phase inverter and one post pre-amp. Can still jump the channels as the input has been rewired but you can take the edge off with the MV's when playing in the house or whatever.

That's a cool head. It was a 4 input reissue made during the master volume era.
I like modded Marshalls. The Bogner is basically a sophisticated EL-34 amp, where each of the 3 channels can morph itself into any Marshall tone there is, although it has a bit of it's own sound too.....sort of a really fat Marshall sound with enough growl to sound like a cranked amp, even if it's not.

I had a 76 100w NMV head like that- with the 6550s, outrageously loud before it broke up- and it started breaking up way late- like 8.
A buddy of mine had a 76 small box 50w, that thing was cool, but he really wanted a JCM 800 vertical input and traded even up. That was around 7 years ago.
