Another Pedal Board question! (Powering pedals)

Ok... So I have decided to build my board Slowly, and buy nicer pieces over a longer period of time than several cheep pedals at once.
It seems a lot of nicer pedals I have seen don't seem to allow for batteries. What up with that?

I'd rather just use wall power anyway since it is cheaper in the long run. What is a good unit for powering multiple pedals? I'd like something I could pick up on the inexpensive side. That would be Great!

Dunlop Brick. There's a similar one by a company called Gator for $30 less, worth a look.

Personally, I found a 9V DC power adapter in my house last year that handles up to 1,000mA so I use that and a Daisy Chain. Works for me!! With 1,000mA (same as One-Spot I believe) I don't think I'll ever overload it with the max amount of pedals I'll ever have (8 after I get the ones I want).

pedal snake (also great for cabling)

one spot (as already mentioned)

dunlop brick (as already mentoned)

and there are many many others I cant think of right now.....

I also use the one spot. At home I use 2 (it was easier to wire my board this way). On my gigging board I also use one. If you get the combo pak, it will come with adapters for some odd pedals also. The one spot is a 9V adapter, some pedals require 18V power, so adapters are necessary. Some older pedals, like my wah don't have power supplies, so they make a battery adapter that snaps onto the batter clip also.

Get a VooDoo Labs Pedal Power II+ and get it over with. The PPII+ is, IMO hte best powedr supply out there, it's dead silent and built as solid as a tank. Yes it costs but it will be the last power supply you'll ever buy!

Cheap: One Spot.

Best: PPII+. You'll never, ever need another power supply.

Re: Another Pedal Board question! (Powering pedals)

The daisy chain supplies like the One Spot work great except when you start running some FX in front of the amp and others in the loop. After that, you might run into ground loop issues that would require the use of an isolated PS like the PP2.

I run a One Spot on the little board that only has stuff I run in front of the amp. My big board that goes in front and in the loop has a Juicebox.
