Another pick thread

I used to use Dava Controls, then V-Picks Screamers and Gravity Picks Stealths that were 3mm and 4mm. Then I got hooked on Dragon Picks. My main is 6.7mm while the others are 6mm or so. Unfortunately the guy that made them passed away. He seem to be a pretty nice guy had some really cool designs. I have yet to find another pick maker for future picks. Holy crap, those are the thickest picks I've ever seen. Playing with a 3 mm pick is doable for me, but a bit of an adjustment. Not sure I'd get along with 6 mm. They look really nice though.

im still on .88 tortex or .90 ultex so... i got a ways to go. half the time im playing with my fingers, dont think i could tuck a pick that thick the way i do unconsciously without a lot of practice

Seashore Have you ever tried an agate pick? If you want a pick that you aren't going to mangle the tip on, I've certainly never managed to damage one of those from playing (and I tend to be *hard* on picks -- a celluloid pick will last less than 10 minutes in my right hand before over half of it no longer exists). I really like the sound of them, too. However, be warned, if you have tile floors -- they can shatter if you drop them on a hard floor.

My go-to these days is the Ernie Ball Prodigy Mini, 2mm. Delrin (so basically a less matte Tortex), with a super-sharp pointy tip and extreme beveled edge, and a slightly smaller size than a normal Jazz III. They're a bit pricy, but I love them.

The new satch grip 1.25mm is pretty much all show & no go marketing.
I'll stay with the JP flows 2mm.
