Another pickup ID

strat-attack

New member
Hi,

I bought this pickup quite a few years back (new, maybe 15 or so?) and I'm trying to figure out which model Duckbucker it is. Can't find a code or any writing at all on the pickup itself. It has 3 wires and the Seymour Duncan name is off to the right side which doesn't seem to match any current models. If anyone knows if it's a neck or bridge position version that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance. - Tim

Re: Another pickup ID

Personally I can't tell, or don't know if there is a way to tell without a sticker. But a meter would let us know the DCR, so if you have one, let us know the reading.

Re: Another pickup ID

I set the meter to OHM 20k. Red terminal on single white wire and black terminal on braided red/bare wire. The reading is 2.51
Have I got it set correctly?

Yes you did. According to the resistance value you are getting, this would be a Duckbucker neck version most likely.

Re: Another pickup ID

Hi, reposting this older post. Anyone have a strat size noiseless bridge or strat size humbucker bridge pickup to trade for my neck duckbucker neck pickup? (pictured)
