Another Twin Tube Classic clip ...

Well, I know there have been a few of tests posted, and this is another take with the SD Twin Tube Classic. Probably not as good as some others. This tune was recorded using a Warmoth Carved top VW (24.75" scale) having a mahogany back and quilted maple top. It has a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover neck pick up, Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack in the middle and a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 bridge pickup. This was recorded using the neck pickup for the lead and the bridge for rhythm tones.

The guitar was run to a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic for both the rhythm and lead tones (lead channel). This signal ran to the clean channel of a DigiTech Twin Tube preamp to an ADA MicroCab. All distortion is the twin tube classic with the signal sent preamp set low enough not to clip. The tone was eq'ed some for the desired fit on this tune. The mixing board board is a Behringer 18 channel board that ran to a Presonus Firebox firewire sound card. This ran to a Dell 8600 Inspiron using Cakewalk's Home Studio 2XL. The bass was recorded using my Fernandez Vertigo running direct to the board, eq'ed to taste. The drums were arranged using a Beta Monkey Drum Loops sample with some reverb and eq. All track effects are from Home Studio and the Eq used was from Home Studio. There is some compression and echo used as well in various places.

No, this clip is not a "pure" example of the twin tube classic. It is for a 50 second slot in a project I am working on at this point. Note I am not claiming any particular level of musical expertise here. Neither do I claim any expertise as a recording engineer. The bass is probably a bit heavy for many home theater systems. But I do like the product and tone here, and this was fun. I hope it does not damage your psyche.

Sounds good, you just may want to turn the bass up a bit on either the pedal or your amp. Still great sound though.
