Antiquities: why do they come with mounting rings?

Are the rings/brackets aged like the pickup? Just curious as most pickups dont come with the plastic mounting rings. Just wondering if the pickups are a different size or something. I'm assuming I can use my tapered mounting ring that is on my historic SG if I were to pick up a set of Ants...

I've got a 59 and custom custom that were new that did not come with mounting rings. I dont think most come with it.

Maybe I'm not describing what I'm talking about properly... I'm talking about the black plastic tapered thing that the pickup gets mounted to...and then IT gets mounted to the guitar. All the pictures of Ants show the black mounting ring...and it says it comes with one.

I am speaking of antiquity humbuckers here... I should make that clear.

Don't know. Nice of Duncan though.

If you have some, how tall is the bridge ring on the tall side?

Hi,

I think they come with the mouting rings because the rings are also aged. For the perfect look IMO
